An illustrative workflow, not a customer result
This example outlines a way to plan multi-custodian document review. It does not describe a customer engagement or promise a review time, cost reduction, or legal outcome.
Define the question and the document set
Start with the issue counsel needs to resolve. Identify relevant custodians, date ranges, and document sources. Separate what the record must establish from assumptions that still need testing.
Connect findings to source passages
Read the finding alongside its supporting passages. Check the surrounding context, compare documents across custodians, and note where dates, amounts, or accounts disagree. A citation is the starting point for verification, not a substitute for it.
Review contradictions and gaps
Use evidence-strength grades and the adversarial review to prioritize closer inspection. Record competing explanations and unanswered questions. A missing document or a disputed passage can change the interpretation of the whole finding.
Prepare the handoff to counsel
Carry the findings and source references into the report. Have counsel assess the supporting documents, privilege considerations, and remaining gaps before relying on the work product. Use the product walkthrough to inspect how a finding and its evidence trail fit together.
